![]() I will be looking at fabbing up a bar that can go between the ramps to keep everything lined up. Luckily it stayed on top and I was able to hop off and straighten it all out. Has a fold down ramp good for motorcycles, atv, mower or snowblower. I have also had the back ends of my ramps kick out last week. I got lucky, no damage to my quad, a day off work, and a limp for a week. We spend good money on our quads, don't let a cheap set of ramps wreck it. These ramps were rated with room to spare, on an evenly distributed load. I assume this caused the one to buckle and the second one to follow. In this case you are actually putting an uneven load on one of the ramps, or at least I was. I would have one knee on the seat and the other on a floor board. I think my issue in this case was doing the knee trick. ![]() Second was someone was standing right there and actually grabbed the front rack to prevent the quad from tumbling on me. It wasn't pretty and it really hurts hitting frozen gravel. ![]() 2 things that I think saved my butt are, first, I had the time to bail. I bailed from the top of the quad and hit the ground on my hip. Quad was halfway in the truck at the time they broke. But I have had a set of aluminum ramps cave on me. Was he loading with a steep set of ramps and on the way back down (after not making it all the way up) he turned the wheels and drove off the ramps rolling the quad sideways? This is common when loading into a pickup truck. The Titan Ramps 7.5 Aluminum Plated Top Pickup Ramps are the perfect solution for ATV, 4-wheeler, and mountain bike transport. Not having enough speed while loading? I don't understand what type of setup he had. Sorry to hear about this accident especially since they had just bought them. The do read the tiny ticket they get though. Many people just don't read the massive signs (most are 6' x 10' signs) that include pictures. Just about every time I go to these places I see the ranger sitting in his/her truck in plain sight (sometimes right next to someone) just watching them. The fine is $100 if they catch you loading or unloading without one and they enforce it 100% of the time. Of course having a helmet does not prevent you from getting crushed. I ordered the plate/ramp online and am waiting for it to arrive. Our riding areas here in Missouri require you to wear a helmet while loading and unloading because of all of the accidents during this time. This way I can install and uninstall the ramp kit at will. I will not have the ramp kit access plate lined as it is already powder coated. This way if I decide to remove the ramp kit plate I can put the stock one back on and it will match the rest of the lining. My plan, when I have the Line-X installed, is to have the stock plate (now removed) and all of the normal bed sprayed with the line-X. I decided to mount the Ramp kit tailgate access plate by itself after removing the stock plate. I do see why the directions say to DO NOT put bed liner on the stock access plate as that would make it very thick. It appears that it will work just fine either way. I tried mounting the ramp kit tail gate access plate on top of the stock one and in place of the stock one. ![]() I think I just answered my own question if it will be of any help to others. I would really appreciate and advice before I go get the bed lining done. The instructions (bad as they are) that came with the ramp kit says do not put bed liner on the access plate. Yours also looks like it has bed liner under the ramp kit lipped plate? My question is did you replace the stock plate on the tail gate with the one that came in the ramnp kit or does it go on OVER the existing tail gate inside cover. It currently does not have a bed liner but will be getting Linex next week. I just picked up a 2016 and want to install the ramp kit on mine. Here the bed ramps are with the bed extender
